2-Heddle Weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom

Open up a whole new world of possibilities on your rigid heddle loom with double-heddle weaving! This is an advanced workshop for weavers already familiar with their rigid heddle loom and ready to take the next step in discovering the possibilities of this wonderful little machine. We will learn how to warp the rigid heddle loom with 2 heddles - effectively doubling the EPI (ends per inch), and opening up an entire world of possible patterns. Students will make a scarf using a number of double-heddle weaving techniques. 

All materials provided - Includes: 

• Thread & yarn for project

• Written instructions

• List of continued learning resources

• Follow-up email support

• Limited number of looms available upon request (first come first served basis)



Techniques covered:

• Warping the rigid heddle loom with 2 heddles

• Weaving with 2 heddles

• Finishing techniques

Required skills: This is an advanced workshop for weavers already familiar with the rigid heddle loom. Students must be comfortable with basic warping and weaving on their loom. It is recommended that students bring their own loom, heddles, & shuttles if possible. 


Admission: $40 Registration Fee due when you call 870-269-3851 #1 to register. Class fee of $180 covers all materials and is due to the instructor at the beginning of class. Total class cost $220.
