May 4-5, 2018 Herbal Field Trip & Medicinal Herb Workshop

Friday's field trip has sold out! On Saturday, you can build your herbal knowledge with herbalists Emily Rush, Susan Belsinger, Chris Cosby, Tina Marie Wilcox and mycologist, Jay Justice. Music Workshops 

April 26-28, 2018 Dulcimer Jamboree

Our annual Dulcimer Jamboree is a three-day event that brings together dulcimer players from across the region, including nationally acclaimed musicians that not only provide instruction for workshop attendees but also perform at the Ozark Folk Center throughout the weekend. 

The Dulcimer Jamboree features a "round robin" class format for both mountain and hammered dulcimer players. Students should select their level of play in the registration form. In addition to classes, the Dulcimer Jamboree also features sanctioned dulcimer contests as well as afternoon and evening performances from all instructors.

May 18-19, 2018 Thumbpicking Guitar Workshops

Celebrating Merle Travis, with feature performances by Tom Bresh, Pat Kirtley, Randy Buckner, Evan Twittly and Danny Dozier. Master classes on Friday, May 18. Matinee concert with Evan Twitty from 2-3 p.m. outdoors in the Craft Village. Merle Travis panel discussion from 10 a.m.to noon on Saturday May 19. Contest begins at 2 p.m.

June 7-9, 2018 Autoharp Workshops

Our autoharp workshop features intensive classroom instruction Thursday morning through Saturday afternoon. Performances by instructors, special guests and participants are also included in the schedule. All playing levels, beginners to advanced, are welcome!   Students will choose a class that they will remain with based on playing level. ALL students will have classes with each instructor every day.

June 22-23, 2018 String Band Weekend

Hone your skills as a ensemble performer in guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and banjo. Classes are focused on group playing and performing with guest instructors from across the country.

September 7-8, 2018 Folk Dance Days

Two days of workshops for all ages that focus on Traditional dance styles such as clogging, jigging, and contra dancing. Dance troupes, instructors, and bands converge on the Ozark Folk Center State park for an intense weekend of fun.

Registration form for classes, you can print this and mail it in with your registration payment or use it as a template when you call to register for a class with a credit card. Registration fee only is due when you sign up, the remaining class and materials fee are payable directly to the instructor at the beginning of class.

September 20-23, 2018 Ozark Quilt Retreat

Have you ever looked at a beautiful quilt and thought “I could never do that. It’s too hard”? Well, here’s your chance. The Cozy Comfort Quilt Retreat is three days of quilting, relaxation and fun with other quilters. There are several packages and different classes available.
