Pioneer People of The 1800's & early 1900's brought back to Life. There's something about the Pioneer Village at the Ozark Folk Center that makes people fall in love with it!

Crafts, Herbs & Music

It may be the faces and hands of the pioneer people, using knowledge lovingly handed down from one generation to another, making things designed to last - like hand-made quilts, baskets and brooms - that will be cherished as family heirlooms passed down generation to generation.

It may be the pioneer costumes you see or the mountain music you hear. Music that has made hard times a little better for folks down through the years, mountain music that continues to inspire musicians and listeners today.

Or, it may be the way it feels to walk through the beautifully tended herb gardens, smell the air sweet with flowers and herbs and hear the soft sound of water tumbling down to the fish pond.

But, most of all it seems to be the warm, genuine people who work at the Ozark Folk Center, because you know…they love to share their pioneer crafts, their mountain music and their herb gardens.

Come visit the Folks and experience, firsthand, what people love about the Ozark Folk Center!
