Cooking Class - Comfort Foods

January 12, 2013
Come spend a day learning how to cook winter comfort foods such as: simple stews, ham and beans, corn bread, dried fruit cobblers, Ozark pudding and Skillet cake. These dishes made up the staple meals for early homesteaders in the Ozarks.
This hands-on workshop will let you learn the skills to make these wholesome dishes.
Class will be held from 10a.m. to 2p.m. and costs $30 per participant. This fee will cover a lunch of what you've cooked and copies of the recipes.
Space is limited and pre-registration with payment is required no later than 1/7/2013. Class needs 4 students to make and is limited to 12. Class will meet at 10:00 a.m. in the Administration Building Lobby. If weather causes the closure of Mountain View area schools, the class will be rescheduled to January 19. Class will finish about 3:00 p.m.
