Crafts, Herbs & Music Workshops
Learn pioneer crafts with a wide selection of folk art classes in pottery, furniture making, blacksmithing, muzzleloader building, fiber arts and much more. Take American folk music classes in Mountain and Hammered Dulcimer, Autoharp, Clawhammer Banjo, and Resophonic Guitar as well as other instruments. Take a workshop or select private instruction on herb gardening. A wide selection of classes in folk art crafts, herb gardening, and mountain music are available April through October. Ozark Folk School
One week every year in March we open the doors to the Ozark Folk School. Here you will learn traditional Ozark crafts, herb gardening and American folk music in the beautiful and relaxed atmosphere of an Ozark spring. The Ozark Folk School offers an experience of a lifetime at a very affordable cost.
Elderhostel
Special packages are available for adults over 55 through the Elderhostel Programs held at the Folk Center. Children's Programs
Kids are special at the Folk Center! That's why we have several Children's Programs scheduled throughout the regular season, including Folk Kids, Young Pioneers and Folk Center Day Camp. School groups are also encouraged to visit the Park for a living history lesson that's fun. Contact our Children's Programs Director, Mary Gillihan, for additional information.
