Celebrity Concert with Suzy Bogguss

October 30, 2010
The Ozark Folk Center is pleased to host a Celebrity Concert with Suzy Bogguss. Suzy started singing at age five in the church choir, and learned the piano soon thereafter. In high school, she saved her babysitting money and purchased a 12 string guitar. She has always liked playing music that people liked, and by the time she was in college, she was earning a better than average living performing at local venues. After graduation, she toured the country wherever acoustic music was showcased.
Suzy was 'discovered' at Dollywood, and has since worked with Chet Atkins, a well as her songwriting husband, Doug Crider on many collaborative projects, resulting in winning a Grammy for her contribution for 'Beautiful Dreamer : The Songs of Stephen Foster' . Suzy has performed in North and South America and Europe, and even had a command performance for President and Mrs. Bill Clinton.
Suzy will be presenting a broad range of traditional tunes here at the Folk Center, as well as some of her own.
Tickets are $15 purchase at the park or call 870-269-3851
